Arizona Service Areas
Blackstone Contracting is based in Peoria and licensed across Arizona. Each market below has its own permitting authority and its own building conditions — the pages set out what actually changes from one to the next.
Licensed statewideBlackstone Contracting is based in Peoria. Because this is home, the full range is on the table here — ground-up construction and major renovations through to repair calls and scheduled maintenance.
City of GlendaleGlendaleGlendale sits directly against Peoria, which makes it the closest market to the shop after home. The housing stock is older than the northwest Valley average, and the work reflects it.
City of SurpriseSurpriseSurprise is one of the fastest-growing cities in the northwest Valley, and a large share of its housing sits in active-adult communities where the renovation brief is its own category.
Maricopa County Planning and DevelopmentAnthemAnthem is a master-planned community in unincorporated Maricopa County, which means county permitting rather than a city building department, and community design review on top of it.
Mesa is the largest city in the East Valley and holds the widest range of housing age in the metro, from pre-war downtown blocks to recent construction on the eastern edge.
City of ChandlerChandlerChandler is a newer city with an employment corridor attached, which gives it both a maturing residential renovation market and steady commercial work.
Town of GilbertGilbertGilbert grew faster than almost anywhere in the country through the 1990s and 2000s, and that entire wave of housing is now hitting renovation age at the same time.
Paradise Valley is its own town with its own building department, one-acre minimum lots and hillside requirements on the mountain slopes. Projects here are estate-scale and the review is its own discipline.
City of ScottsdaleScottsdaleScottsdale is really two building markets. The south and central neighborhoods are a renovation market built on mid-century stock; the north is desert-lot custom construction. The work differs accordingly.
City of PhoenixArcadiaArcadia is one of the most active renovation markets in the Valley: mid-century ranch homes on unusually large, often flood-irrigated lots, with a steady run of additions and full rebuilds.
North Scottsdale runs to large custom homes on desert parcels, much of it inside guard-gated communities with architectural review of their own. The work here is rarely small.
Town of Cave CreekCave CreekCave Creek is low-density custom building on desert acreage. Larger parcels, more varied terrain, and site conditions that vary property to property rather than street to street.
Town of CarefreeCarefreeCarefree is a small, low-density town built into boulder-strewn desert, where the terrain and the design guidelines shape a project as much as the brief does.
Town of Fountain HillsFountain HillsFountain Hills is built across genuine elevation change, and the hillside lots that give the town its views are also what make building on them a structural exercise.
Not on the list
Ask anyway.
These are the markets Blackstone Contracting works in regularly, not the limit of the licence. Arizona ROC #344694 is valid statewide, and whether a project further out makes sense usually comes down to its scope rather than its postcode. If the property sits somewhere not listed here, describe the work and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right contractor for it.
